Residents are thriving at the Jacmel Lutheran Home

It is amazing to see God work in the lives of the residents of the Jacmel Lutheran home. The five ladies and two men are experiencing a quality of life that they could not have imagined as they laid on the floors of the dark buildings, where they previously lived, with very little hope.

The residents celebrated mothers day at an intergenerational party with the children from the orphanage next door. They all are having a vibrant spiritual life, that includes daily devotions and church on Sunday. One man is learning to walk again with a walker, after not being able to stand on his feet. All are enjoying regular meals, and being served by people that care and love them as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Ministry In Mission is grateful for all your continuing prayers and financial support.

As the Lutheran Women in Mission, (LWML) meet in convention this week, they will hear about how God has allowed us to use their mites for the construction of “The Jacmel Lutheran Home” to advance the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Following are pictures from the mothers day party and a short video of a man rising and walking.
